Mario sat in his stroller, feeling more than a little out of place as he surveyed the colorful chaos of the "Pretty Princess Adult Daycare." The building sparkled with streamers and twinkling lights, the walls decorated with murals of castles and fairies.
He didn't like it, not one bit. The pastel pink walls made him squirm, the scent of cotton candy wafted through the air, and the overly cheerful décor seemed designed to overwhelm. He clutched the straps of his stroller, looking down at his own attire—a pastel blue onesie, a diaper and pink tights. He didn't even wear shoes on his feet. He couldn’t believe his wife had dressed him like this. The last thing he wanted was to be paraded around in such a cutesy outfit.
But deep down, Mario knew that complaining wouldn't do any good. He had been promised a day filled with fun activities, his wife had said. And so he stifled his discontent, convincing himself to keep an open mind. Well, as open as a adult man in a stroller could.
A daycare worker approached with a warm smile, her own outfit reflecting the playful spirit of the place. “Are you ready to join the fun, little one?” she asked, bending down to his level.
When Mario entered the "Pretty Princess Adult Daycare" he found that all of his friends were there, Rob, Steve, Glenn, Pat, and others. They were all dressed in onesies like his. His wife and their wives had rented the place for all of them.
Baby Shark was being loudly played when Mario entered the building. He saw Rob bouncing up and down in a bright pink onesie, pretending to be a cheerleader, while Steve and Glenn were engaged in a pretend tea party with stuffed animals. Pat was showing off his onesie, which had tiny unicorns all over it, and making everyone laugh with his silly dance moves. Another man was using crayons to color a ladybug. He wasn't very concerned about going outside the lines as he drew.
“Hey, Mario! Come join us!” shouted Rob, gesturing for him to come over. Mario didn't know if his friends were being forced to act this way. He couldn't ask them. He had to join in the 'fun' if he knew what was good for him.
Mario knew he was still an adult, but his wife had made him forget several things. He no longer knew what potty training was. He didn't know how to change his diaper or any of his clothes. There were so many things he didn't remember anymore, he wasn't sure what they all were.
The schedule for the day included arts and crafts, storytime, and even a mini talent show where everyone could showcase their unique skills.
